The art of bell-foundering has matured throughout centuries ; it is an art whose rules were perfected from generation to generation, as several generations of professionals are needed to pass on their experience to master this trade of balance, know-how and imagination.

Bell-founders for the past centuries, the company was able to master the most advanced technologies to develop them to the benefit of the art of campanology and the upkeep of the heritage.

Research and consolidation work on know-how was led by its director Luigi Bergamo since 1981 and is universally recognized, which earned him the title " Maitre d’Art ".

The Cornille-Havard Bell Foundry is the first in the world to make computer models of bell shapes, which enables it to continuously perfect its profiles or discover those of long-gone bell-founders.

The composition and quality of modeling materials provide impeccable metallurgical qualities. The mastery of bell profiles enables us to harmoniously integrate modern bells to older sets. We can also " tune " to a certain extent antique bells which are not properly tuned.

We have carefully studied all the ringing equipment, yokes, clappers, motors, which help make bells more valuable.

The technical and financial means are those of an artisan but thanks to the collaboration with ISMRA (Engineering School of Caen) and the Research Center of the Division of Shipbuilding of the Cherbourg Arsenal, we have reached degrees of skill unequaled in the world, especially regarding vibration phenomena and damage to buildings.
