- STRIPPING After pouring, the metal cools for about 5 days for 2 tons. Meanwhile, the dirt that was carefully dammed up against the molds to increase their resistance is taken away. Then the covering is broken. The bell still has burned clay on it and will be de-dusted, brushed, tooled and polished.

If necessary, the bell can be tuned by machining its inside in order to comply with the harmonic rules defined above and be perfectly tuned. The bell is used alone or in combination with other bells of different tones and different sizes. This set of bells forms a carillon whose hammers are moved by a keyboard or by automation. |
